Web Toys

From time to time I add new web toys to my site. Sometimes they're inspired by email I receive, sometimes by websites I visit, and sometimes they're just toys I've dreamt up on my own. Below is a list of the ones I've added to date, and a brief description of each.

My web toys:

  • International Phonetic Alphabet Translator
Converts text to Alpha, Bravo, Charlie format
  • Text Scrambler
Scramble text and see if you can still make out what it says.
  • Morse Code Convertor (added January 2, 2009)
Convert your text to the dot-dash format of Morse Code
  • Morse Code DeConvertor (added January 2, 2009)
Convert the dot-dash format of Morse Code to plain text
  • Symbol-based Password Generator (added February 22, 2009)
Create up to 25 passwords of varying lengths at the click of a button
  • PassWORDS (added February 22, 2009)
Create up to 25 passwords at at time. Each password is made up of 2 or more 3-5 character words separated by a number or punctuation character. I find this type of password more useful (e.g. easier to remember) than symbol-based passwords.
Updated March 2010 to allow you to choose between numbers, symbols and punctuation, or both as separators between the words.

Do you have any thoughts about my existing toys or ideas for new ones? Post them here.

Cheers
Jim
